An American theatrical run has been set for You’re Killing Me Susana (Me Estás Matando Susana) following its 2016 festival tour and theatrical run last summer in Mexico. The romantic comedy starring Gael García Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle, Neruda) and Verónica Echegui will play theaters in Los Angeles and New York City beginning February 17, expanding shortly after to 10 additional cities to be announced. Hola Mexico Distribution is handling the U.S. release.

Eligio soon learns it’s going to take a lot more than his usual boyish charisma and sweet talk to win her back.
Based on the novel Deserted Cities (Ciudades Desiertas) by José Agustín, it’s directed by by Roberto Sneider (Tear This Heart Out) and cowritten by Sneider and Luis Camara. You’re Killing Me Susana also stars Ashley Grace, Jadyn Wong, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson and Adam Hurtig.
