NBC’s The Voice was Monday night’s top show in the demo (2.0/7) while ABC’s Dancing with the Stars finished first in overall audience, topping the singing competition for the first time this season, and with a 1M margin (10.3M vs 9.3M). ABC scared up the most viewers (8.389M) on Halloween, while NBC scored the best demo rating (1.7) in primetime. NBC also led with viewers aged 18-34, and 25-54.
All broadcasters suffered a week-to-week ratings dip because that’s what happens when kiddies are out collecting candy. Overall, 18-49 TV usage dipped 6% on the night compared to previous Monday (28.0 vs 29.9). CBS series showed bumps across the board from 9-11PM, but those early stats may be boosted a bit by an NFL preemption in Minneapolis.
Early stats show CBS snagging a 1.4 rating in the key 18-49 age bracket, followed by ABC a 1.2, Fox’s 0.9 and CW’s 0.5. In overall audience, NBC trailed ABC with 7.953M viewers, to CBS’s 6.447M, Fox’s 3.244M and CW’s 1.607M.
