Emma Freeman, who directed Netflix’s new drama series Glitch, has signed with Verve. Her credits also include such other Australian shows Secret City, Offspring, Party Tricks, Puberty Blues and Tangle.
Season 1 of Glitch, which aired Down Under last year, went live on Netflix threeweeks ago. The streaming service, which distributes the series worldwide outside of Australia, picked a second season on October 14, a day ahead of its international premiere. Glitch is set in the small town of Yoorana, which overnight becomes a gothic backdrop to an epic story from the most unlikely visitors: the dead. As the Risen discover who they are and why they have returned, those around them are also faced with a disturbing new reality. In Season 2, the Risen unravel the mystery of how and why they are back, but their journey of reconciliation and revenge is soon disrupted by another lethal threat.
Freeman also is repped by Cameron Creswell in Australia.
