‘Sing’ Trailer Stars Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon & More

“You know what’s great about hitting rock bottom, there’s only one way left to go and that’s up.” Here’s the new trailer for Illumination/Universal’s animated film Sing, which follows group of animals with dreams of making it in the music industry. Written and directed by Garth Jennings, the film’s voice cast includes Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon, alongside Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton and pop singer Tori Kelly.

Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Sing stars Buster Moon (McConaughey), a dapper koala who has one final chance to restore his once-grand theater to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition. Five lead contestants emerge, each believing that this is their shot to change the course of their life. As Buster coaches each of his contestants closer and closer to the grand finale, he starts to learn that maybe the theater isn’t the only thing that is in need of saving.

Nick Kroll, Beck Bennett, Nick Offerman, Jennifer Saunders, Peter Serafinowicz, Leslie Jones, Jay Pharoah and Jennings round out the cast. Chris Meledandri produced the film with his longtime collaborator Janet Healy.

Sing hits theaters December 21. Check out the trailer above and tell us what you think.
