Matt Gerald has joined David Ayer’s film Bright, the Max Landis-scripted fantasy cop thriller that Netflix picked up for $90M. Will Smith, Joel Egerton, and Noomi Rapace star in the film that’s set in a world where humans cohabit the earth with magical creatures. Eric Newman, Ayer, Landis and Bryan Unkeless are producing. Gerald recurs on second season of the Marvel/Netlfix series Daredevil, and will next be seen in the crime thriller Solace opposite Anthony Hopkins, Colin Farrell and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Angel Bonanni has landed a role in the Jose Padilha-directed drama Entebbe, written by Greg Burke. He joins Rosamund Pike, Daniel Bruhl and Vincent Cassel in the pic from Working Title and Participant Media . It’s the 1976 true story of when four hijackers took a plane hostage and diverted it to land in Entebbe, Uganda, while they demanded the release of dozens of Palestinian and pro-Palestinian prisoners. Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce alongside Kate Solomon. Bonanni is currently working on the Fox limited series Shots Fired produced by Gina Prince-Blythewood and Brian Grazer. He is with Innovative, Greenlight Management and ADD Agency in Israel.
