Terri Hines has been hired as EVP Communications at Fox Sports, where she will be tasked with leading communications across the company’s entire portfolio including the sports TV arm of Fox Broadcasting Co, FS1, FS2, its 22 regional sports networks, Fox Sports Digital, Fox Deportes and its joint ventures.

She most recently was at Nike as VP Global Communications for Converse. She begin her new role December 5 and takes the spot vacated when Chris Hannan exited earlier this month for a job at WME-IMG. That comes after the departure of several key communications execs in the spring including SVP Lou D’Ermillo and VP Dan Bell, who took buyouts.

“We are delighted to welcome Terri to Fox Sports and look forward to her leadership of our outstanding communications team,” said Fox Sports president, COO and executive producer Eric Shanks. “Terri has an intrinsic understanding of our business through her many years leading communications for some of the biggest brands at Nike. Her proven leadership skills, deep marketing and communications expertise and forward-thinking approach put her in an ideal position to highlight the growth and innovation of the Fox Sports brand.”

Before running the Converse brand, Hines was director of communications for Nike’s Jordan brand, leading brand and athlete communications, entertainment, corporate responsibility and events.
