Alec Baldwin this morning said on Twitter that NBC execs “kill” any thoughts Saturday Night Live might have had about endorsing Hillary Clinton during the election cycle. The comment by the actor came in response to a Twitter tirade by Time TV critic Daniel D’Addario against the show, following Saturday’s post-election edition. Baldwin got rave reviews portraying GOP candidate-turned-president-elect Donald Trump on the show’s later episodes, in the walk up to Election Day. He was, however, not featured in that broadcast’s somber cold open, in which “Hillary Clinton” (aka Kate McKinnon) performed Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” then telling SNL viewers, in character, “I’m not giving up, and neither should you,” triggering D’Addario’s outrage:

Here is D’Addario’s tweet storm:

After Baldwin responded, D’Addario took to Twitter again, to shoot back:

…adding “I can’t even respond, because Alec Baldwin has had me blocked for years!”

NBC declined to comment.
