Get Out, the new thriller from Blumhouse Productions, is set for release on February 24, courtesy of Universal Pictures, where the production company has its deal. The project, written and directed by Key & Peele‘s Jordan Peele, is about a young African American man who visits his Caucasian girlfriend’s family estate and becomes ensnared in a more sinister real reason for the invitation to the home. The picture stars Sicario‘s Daniel Kaluuya and Girls’ Allison Williams along with Catherine Keener and Bradley Whitford.
The story — which had been kept under wraps — follows Chris (Kaluuya), who reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship. But as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries leads him to a truth that he never could have imagined.
