TV Land has promoted Keith Cox to President, Development and Production, from his most recent role as EVP Development and Original Programming. Cox will continue to be based in Los Angeles and report to Cyma Zarghami, President of Viacom’s Kids and Family Group, which includes TV Land, CMT and Nickelodeon.
Cox follows Larry Jones in the position, with a slightly different title. Jones exited a year and a half ago as TV Land president amid Viacom’s restructuring.
As one of TV Land’s executive producers, Cox developed, produced and launched all of the channel’s current original scripted programming. The first, Hot in Cleveland, ran for six seasons and is now syndicated by CBS Television Distribution.
Prior to joining TV Land, Cox served as Executive Vice President, Comedy and Alternative Development at WBTV, where he oversaw all of the network’s half-hour and reality development.
