NBCUniversal’s Telemundo Enterprises underscored its growing interest in sports by moving Ray Warren from Chief Revenue Officer for NBC Sports Regional Networks to a new position as President of Telemundo Deportes.
He’ll drive the Spanish language operation’s sports initiatives, including what the company describes as “existing franchises and future acquisitions with a keen focus on the FIFA World Cup properties.”
Beginning on September 19, Warren will be based in Miami reporting to NBCUniversal International and NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises Chairman Cesar Conde.
Warren’s “expertise and proven track record will be essential to maximizing the opportunities these prestigious events bring to our viewers and our partners,” Conde says.
Prior to joining NBC, Warren was President of Carat Media Group Americas, Managing Director of OMD USA, CEO of Raycom Sports, and held senior sales positions at ABC Television Network.
