Producer Datari Turner is expanding his relationship with independent studio Entertainment One, signing a first-look deal via his Datari Turner Productions banner for unscripted programming.
The pact builds on the existing partnership between eOne and Turner, who teamed on WE tv series Growing up Hip Hop, which is currently in production on its second season, and will accelerate the development and production of further original content from the two.

“Datari has been an incredible partner and friend, and we have always admired his exceptional creativity and ability to connect with talent to produce outstanding content. We are pleased to expand our relationship through this deal, and we are eager to ramp up our collaboration to produce an amplified slate of innovative, engaging series,” said Tara Long, EVP of U.S. Alternative Programming, eOne Television.
Turner has produced over 50 hours of original programming for networks WE tv, BET, TV One, Starz, and the Oxygen network, and 20 features. His most recent television credits include Love Thy Sister and Growing Up Hip Hop, which premieres its second season in October on WE tv. His films include Another Happy Day, Salvation Boulevard, Luv and Ten Thousand Saints, all of which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Turner is repped by CAA and attorney Ryan Nord.
