Colin Callender’s Playground (Wolf Hall, The White Queen) has promoted Scott Huff and Elyse Dolbec as part of the company’s push to expand its television slate in the U.S. The company also is providing a glimpse into its current slate of projects in development and production.
Huff will become SVP of Development and Production, adding his new duties to his existing work in New York overseeing Playground’s slate of US/UK television co-productions as well as its work on Broadway. Dolbec becomes Director of Development and Production working alongside Huff on all television and theatre endeavors.

Series currently in development under Huff and Dolbec include The System, exploring the world of college football, written by Emmy winner Adam Mazer (You Don’t Know Jack) based on the eponymous book by award-winning investigative reporters Jeff Benedict and Armen Keteyian for Starz.

Alongside Playground’s UK team, Huff and Dolbec are shepherding the contemporary dramas The Kills, a conspiracy thriller for the BBC and Starz set in post-war Iraq written by DC Moore based on the Booker Prize-nominated series of books by Richard House, Chimerica a four hour mini-series that explores US/China relations based on Lucy Kirkwood’s award-winning hit play and The New Odyssey a series about the refugee crisis based on the acclaimed new book by award-winning journalist Patrick Kingsley.
Huff is an executive producer on the eight-hour limited series The White Princess currently shooting in England for Starz and the second installment in the Starz and BBC anthology series The Missing. Previously, Huff was associate producer of The Dresser and the Golden Globe-winning mini-series Wolf Hall. On stage his credits as associate producer for Playground include Lucky Guy on Broadway and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London’s West End.
Dolbec was a production executive on The Dresser and is an associate producer on The White Princess. She is assistant producer for Playground on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
