Here is a sneak peek at the film that just won the Grand Jury Prize at Venice. The first full trailer for writer-director Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals debuts tomorrow, but in the meantime we get a 20-second glimpse at the thriller starring Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal as a divorced couple discovering dark truths about each other and themselves. The cast also includes Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Isla Fisher, Karl Glusman, Armie Hammer, Laura Linney, Andrea Riseborough, Ellie Bamber and Michael Sheen.
At Toronto this week, Adams told Deadline about the way Ford framed the story: “It seemed nearly impossible, which then became very attractive to me. Tom explained in such a beautiful way how he would use music, sound and light to pull us in and out of story and time and space.”

Not much to say about what little we see here, but the stylish revenge thriller is described as having “shocking intimacy and gripping tension that explores the thin lines between love and cruelty, and revenge and redemption.” So have a quick look and make a note to catch the trailer for the tomorrow. Focus Features opens Nocturnal Animals on November 18.
