With Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as his first guest, Jimmy Fallon bagged his best Monday Tonight Show rating in five months in metered-market households (2.8).

Clinton’s latest appearance on the late-night show, the week after GOP rival Donald Trump stopped by, also delivered Tonight’s highest Monday adults 18-49 rating in the Local People Meters in four months, and equaled its best Monday in the demo in seven months.

Anticipating your question: Trump’s appearance on the show last Thursday clocked a 2.6 rating in households and a 0.7 in 18-49 in the LPMs.

Clinton wins!

OK, in fairness, Clinton’s Tonight appearance followed a strong opening night for NBC’s primetime season, while Trump appeared after a primetime of repeats.

Anyway, in Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, Clinton’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon ( 2.8/7) outstripped CBS’ Late Show With Stephen Colbert ( 2.1/6) and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1.7/5).

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, Fallon logged a 0.9/5 in the demo, to Colbert’s 0.5/2 and Kimmel’s 0.4/2.
