EXCLUSIVE: Captain Fantastic‘s George MacKay has been tapped to star alongside Amandla Stenberg in Where Hands Touch, a coming-of-age love story set in World War II Berlin that will be the next movie from Amma Asante.

Asante’s A United Kingdom just had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike star in the pic, which got a big-time ovation after its screening. The film tells the true story of Seretse Khama, King of Bechuanaland (modern Botswana), and Ruth Williams, the London office worker he married in 1947 in the face of fierce opposition from their families and the British and South African governments. That pic also will open the London Film Festival on October 5.
In Where Hands Touch, The Hunger Games alum Stenberg plays a biracial German teen who begins a friendship with a member of the Hitler youth (MacKay). Asante wrote the pic, which has been in the works for more than 10 years.
Protagonist Pictures is handling sales on the project from producer Tatrum Films.
