From Comedy Central, the network behind Drunk History and Time Traveling Bong, comes Drunk Girl, High Guy. The network has given a pilot order to the project and has cast Jordan Rock as the male lead.
Drunk Girl, High Guy, originally announced by Comedy Central in March as a script from its 2016-2017 development slate, was written by Sarah Walker. It follows the adventures of two best friends and work wife/work husband in New York City — a girl who is almost always drunk, and a guy (Rock) who is almost always high. A24 Television is producing, with Ravi Nandan and John Hodges executive producing.

The project was inspired by a column Walker writes for Funny or Die with friend and fellow comedian Noah Garfinkel wherein she get really drunk, he gets really high, they go to a cultural event — like a WNBA game or a Jim Henson exhibit — and then write about their vastly different experiences.
Rock, whose older brother is comedian Chris Rock, also will continue his role on Judd Apatow’s Netflix comedy series Love. He is repped by UTA, Principato-Young and Jacoway Tyerman.
Drunk Girl, High Guy joins a slew of pot-themed scripted comedy TV projects, including series High Maintenance on HBO, the Chuck Lorre sitcom Disjointed for Netflix, and MTV’s Mary + Jane, as well as the Amazon pilot Budding Prospects.
Walker is repped by WME, Mosaic and Jackoway Tyerman.
