
Dolores Gavin, who spent nearly a decade at History, is returning to the fold in the newly created post of Senior Executive, Development & Production. She was with the cable net from 2000-09, most recently as VP & Head of Programming.
Based in A+E Networks headquarters in New York City, Gavin ’ New York City, Gavin will lead a team focused on developing and executing new nonfiction franchises and formats.

Gavin most recently served as EVP Development at Megalomedia since August 2015, where she oversaw the Austin-based production company’s development in the U.S. and internationally. Before that she was EVP Production & Development at Discovery Channel, where she oversaw such docuseries as Gold Rush, Alaskan Bush People, Moonshiners and Sons of Guns and led development on Alaska: The Last Frontier and Bering Sea Gold, among others. She began her career at DreamWorks.
As VP Development at History, Gavin was responsible for developing and supervising many of the network’s most successful series and specials including Ax Men and Ice Road Truckers.
