Better Late Than Never was an appropriate title for NBC’s globe-trotting reality series featuring AARP stars. After sitting on the shelf for a while, the show got a big launch after the Summer Olympics and, following a solid freshman run, it has been renewed for a second season.
In Season 1, Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, George Foreman and Jeff Dye embarked on a trip to Asia in search of an intimate life-changing experience.
Winkler, Shatner, Bradshaw, Foreman and Dye will all return for the second season. The locale is still TBD.
With a boost from the Olympics, Better Late Than Never was the No. 1 new series introduced by the broadcast networks this past summer, averaging a 1.8 rating in adults 18-49 and 8.1 million viewers overall in “most current” figures from Nielsen.
