A&E is the latest network to mount a project on the JonBenét Ramsey murder case. The Killing Of JonBenét: The Truth Uncovered, a two-hour documentary, will premiere Monday, September 5 on A&E.
It joins three other previously announced TV projects, from Lifetime, Investigation Discovery and CBS, as well as a feature project directed by Kitty Green, timed to the 20th anniversary of the six-year-old beauty queen’s killing.
A&E’s documentary includes JonBenét’s brother Burke Ramsey’s 1998 interview tape detailing his first-hand account of the events at that time, organized by the District Attorney’s office and never aired publically, accompanied by new analysis from an independent child psychologist, according to the network. The special also includes the first sit-down interview with John Ramsey in which he shares access to his diaries at the time of the murder.
JonBenét’s badly beaten body was found the morning of December 26, 1996 in the basement of the Ramsey’s family home. Nearly 20 years later, the murder remains unsolved.
