Castle alumna Stana Katic has joined the one-off solo-performance lineup for White Rabbit Red Rabbit, the experimental play from Iranian writer Nassim Soleimanpour that sees a different performer each night who is handed the script for the first time as they step onto the stage.
White Rabbit Red Rabbit made its New York premiere on March 7 and plays Monday nights at the Westside Theatre. Katic’s show is September 26.
She joins previous performers including Tony Danza — who had his show last night — Nathan Lane, Whoopi Goldberg, Patrick Wilson, Brian Dennehy, Wayne Brady, Kyra Sedgwick, Martin Short and others.
A portion of the play’s profits go to PEN International, and it is produced by Devlin Elliott and Tom Kirdahy of Maberry Theatricals in association with Aurora Nova Productions and Boat Rocker Entertainment.
This is Katic’s first major role following her exit from ABC’s Castle and its subsequent cancellation. She’ll next be seen in indie film Sister Cities, which is slated to premiere September 17 on Lifetime.
