The Intern‘s Zack Pearlman has landed a recurring role on the upcoming seventh season of Showtime’s drama series Shameless. Season 7 picks up with Frank (William H. Macy) declaring war on the family after awakening from a coma to learn that his loved ones tossed him in the river. But Fiona (Emmy Rossum) is too busy improving her own life to worry about Frank’s. She has moved on from a devastating betrayal and nothing is getting in the way of her new life as manager of Patsy’s – including her family. Pearlman will play Sierra’s (Ruby Modine) disabled brother. He was hit by a bus and now has a brain injury that manifests itself in Tourette’s-like symptoms. Pearlman will next be seen in the 20th Century Fox feature Why Him with Bryan Cranston and James Franco, set to be released on Christmas Day. He’s repped by Principato Young and UTA.

Lane Edwards has been cast as a supporting lead in Who Killed JonBenét?, Lifetime’s original movie about the unsolved murder case of 6-year-old beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey. Starting with the 911 call and investigation led by Detective Steve Thomas (Eion Bailey), Who Killed JonBenét? looks into what exactly happened the day after Christmas 1996, when JonBenét (Payton Lepinski) was found beaten and strangled in the family’s basement. Edwards will play Detective Ron Gosage. Determined and capable, he runs point on the murder investigation with Thomas (Bailey). Edwards can next be seen opposite Sam Worthington in Lionsgate’s The Shack. He is repped by Thruline and Play Management.
