Ahead of Friday’s second season premiere of Mutt & Stuff, Nickelodeon has ordered 13 additional episodes of the hit preschool series from Sid & Marty Krofft (H.R. Pufnstuf, Land Of The Lost).

The increased order brings the total episodes to 73 for Mutt & Stuff’s first and second seasons. New episodes will continue to roll out through the fall in the show’s regular weekday time slot at 9:30 AM on Nickelodeon.

In the season two debut episode of Mutt & Stuff, “Basketball Dogs vs. The Harlem Globetrotters,” the world famous exhibition basketball team faces off against the talented dogs of Mutt & Stuff in an exciting game of hoops. It airs Friday, August 19 at 10 AM.

Set in a unique school for dogs, Mutt & Stuff stars Calvin Millan and his dad, Cesar, star of Cesar 911 and original star of Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, interacting with a cast of both real dogs and puppets. With the help of 15 playful puppies and charismatic puppets, Calvin educates preschoolers on how to train and guide their dogs, as well as showcase the friendship and loyalty that puppies can provide. The series has a social-emotional curriculum that helps preschoolers identify and manage emotions, build interpersonal awareness and develop social skills.

Mutt & Stuff is created and executive produced by the Kroffts, along with Bradley Zweig. Cesar Millan also serves as executive producer.
