For the first time in its 16-year history, NBCUniversal-owned Fandango will now sell tickets for ArcLight Cinemas, which has locations in Chicago, Washington D.C. as well as the exhibitor’s home base of Southern California. The addition of ArcLight Cinemas increases Fandango’s footprint in the movie ticket share sphere to 90%. This year alone, the advance movie ticket seller has added nearly 40 independent exhibition chains; in total servicing more than 27K screens in the U.S.
By adding ArcLight Cinemas to its exhibitor list, Fandango will now sell advance tickets for the ArcLight Hollywood, the chain’s flagship theater complex, built around the world-famous Cinerama Dome at Sunset & Vine, as well as its top-selling hubs in Santa Monica, Pasadena, Sherman Oaks, Beach Cities, Culver City, and La Jolla. Fandango plans to also host special event screenings at ArcLight’s Chicago, D.C. and Santa Monica locations this fall as part of the new pact.

The Decurion Corporation manages ArcLight Cinemas sister company and another Fandango exhibition partner, Pacific Theatres, representing hundreds of Southern California screens (including Pacific Theatres at The Grove in West Hollywood).
