NCIS star Rocky Carroll has been cast opposite Oprah Winfrey and Renee Elise Goldsberry in HBO films’ The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.

Carroll will play Sonny Lacks, Henrietta’s (Goldsberry) third child. The cast also includes Rose Byrne as young journalist Rebecca Skloot.
The Chicago Hope alum Carroll stars as Director of NCIS Leon Vance on CBS’ NCIS. He also directed three episodes of the series. His other TV credits include Grey’s Anatomy and The Game.
