Big Love creators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer and their Anima Sola Productions are continuing their relationship with HBO. The pair have signed a new two-year overall deal, and are currently in development on a new hourlong drama project for the premium cabler.
Specifics are being kept under wraps, but the satirical drama will explore modern relationships, identity, and politics in our times of hyper technological change.
Olsen and Scheffer are co-creating the show with Emmy-nominated documentary film director Chris Moukarbel (Banksy Does New York), who is being eyed to direct.
Olsen, Scheffer, and Anima Sola SVP Lisa Bellomo will Executive Produce. Anima Sola’s newly promoted Director of Development Adam Shepard will also help steer the project.
Olsen and Scheffer, who also successfully adapted British comedy Getting On for HBO, are repped by CAA and Ira Schreck. Moukarbel, whose credits also include Sex On // and Me At the Zoo, is with UTA and gv management’s, Gary Ventimiglia.
