Descendants: Wicked World, the shortform series launched after Disney Channel’s 2015 telepic Descendants, has been renewed for a second season. Featuring three original songs and introducing new characters, Season 2 of two- to three-minute shorts is slated to begin airing this fall across multiple platforms including Disney Channel, VOD and YouTube.
Joining the voice cast in recurring roles for Wicked World‘s sophomore run are Bradley Steven Perry as Zevon, son of Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove, and Lauryn McClain as Freddie, daughter of Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog. The stars of Descendants will continue to provide the voices for their respective animated characters including Dove Cameron as Mal, Sofia Carson as Evie, Cameron Boyce as Carlos, Booboo Stewart as Jay, Mitchell Hope as Ben, Brenna D’Amico as Jane, Sarah Jeffery as Audrey and Dianne Doan as Lonnie.

The show’s first season, which follows Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay as they tried to fit in at Auradon Prep, wraps Friday with “Neon Lights Ball,” a half-hour special that will feature six back-to-back episodes and introduce CJ, the daughter of Captain Hook. Descendants: Wicked World is executive produced by Carin Davis and Eric Fogel.
