The X Factor UK will air on AXS TV in the U.S. for a long time to come. The cable network has re-upped a multi-year deal with FremantleMedia International and Syco Entertainment to continue to broadcast The X Factor UK, and will premiere Season 13 of the hit reality music competition series on August 28 and 29.
The network will air all 32 episodes of the upcoming 13th season. Each episode will air on AXS TV 24 hours after their respective UK broadcasts, with encore airings that same night at 11 PM ET/8 PM PT The X Factor UK is co-produced by Syco Entertainment and Thames TV (part of FremantleMedia UK), and was created by Simon Cowell, who also serves as a judge on the series. Season 13 also marks the return of judges Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh.
Over the past decade, X Factor UK artists have sold a total of more than 200 million records worldwide and earned 200 Number Ones. The program’s legacy includes chart-topping acts such as international boy band One Direction, who have amassed 70 million records worldwide; Grammy-nominated songstress Leona Lewis; multi-platinum pop star Olly Murs, who has sold more than 19 million worldwide; and the first group to win the competition, Little Mix, who has sold 15 million records globally.
The X Factor entertainment format is now produced in 53 territories and has been watched by over 350 million viewers worldwide. The format is owned and created by Syco Entertainment, and co-produced/licensed by FremantleMedia International.
