Talpa Media USA, the Los Angeles-based outpost of John de Mol’s Talpa Media, has brought in veteran reality producer/executive Jennifer Danska as SVP Programming & Development. Talpa also has promoted Monica Stock to SVP Production and ReBecca Crawford to VP Current Programming & Development.
Talpa Media USA, run by CEO Jay Bienstock, is behind NBC’s Emmy-winning series The Voice and spinoff La Voz Kids on Telemundo. The company is shopping an U.S. version of new celebrity dance format Dance, Dance, Dance, which was recently sold to RTL in Germany.
Danska joins Talpa from Ellen Rakieten Entertainment at Critical Content (fka Relativity Television), where she most recently served as SVP Development.
“Jenn is one of the brightest and most creative executives out there,” Bienstock said. “She has a very distinct understanding of the marketplace as she has spent time as both buyer and seller, with strong instincts and long seeded talent relationships.”
During her tenure at Ellen Rakieten Entertainment/Critical Content, Danska served as executive producer for the freshman home renovation series, The Monica Potter Project (HGTV) and co-executive producer on the late-night talk series All About Sex (TLC) hosted by Margaret Cho, Heather McDonald and Marissa Jaret Winokur. Before that, Danska served as SVP of Development and Current at Kinetic Content, where she served as executive producer of Perez Hilton All-Access (CW), as SVP of Development and Current Series for RDF USA, where she worked on series Don’t Forget the Lyrics (Fox) and Secret Millionaire (ABC), and as VP, Talent Development and Casting for E! Networks.
