Prodigy Public Relations has upped Richard Stafford to VP Film Publicity, the latest promotion at the LA-based entertainment PR and marketing firm. In the new role, he will work with president and CEO Erik Bright and COO Alex Klenert on strategies for the firm’s theatrical, festival and home entertainment campaigns. He joined Prodigy in 2012 as an account executive after stints at MTV, Warner Bros and Endemol.
Recently, Stafford has supported the national and regional theatrical release campaigns as well as film festival clients at Sundance, Toronto, SXSW and Tribeca. The pics include Elijah Wood’s Cooties and Keanu Reeves’ Knock Knock, among others.
“Richard’s business acumen and media savvy has helped deliver exceptional results for many of our firm’s film campaigns,” Bright said. “I look forward to working closely with him in this new position as we continue to grow our company and focus on delivering the highest level of service for our clients.”
