If you are wondering about the future of newlyweds Clementine and Tyler on Life in Pieces, here is a clue: The Young and the Restless star Hunter King, who recurred as Clementine on the freshman season of CBS’ single-camera comedy series, has been promoted to series regular for Season 2. In the Season 1 finale of Life in Pieces, Clementine eloped with Tyler (Niall Cunningham).
With the promotion on Life in Pieces, King will scale back her co-starring role on The Young and the Restless to recurring. King’s stint as Summer Newman on the daytime drama, which also airs on CBS, has earned her four consecutive Daytime Emmy nominations and two wins.
“To have a dramatic actress who excels at comedy is a rare find,” said Life in Pieces creator/executive producer Justin Adler. From her first day on set, Hunter has felt like a member of our family, and we couldn’t be more excited to make it official.”
Life in Pieces, from 20th TV and Kapital Entertainment, is about one big happy (and messy) family and their sometimes awkward, often hilarious and ultimately beautiful milestone moments as told by its various members. King joins fellow regular cast members Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Holly J. Barrett and Giselle Eisenberg.
King also starred in the Netflix feature A Girl Like Her and played the role of Adriana on Nick at Nite’s Hollywood Heights. She’s repped by Coast to Coast, Industry Entertainment and attorney Howard Fishman.
