Good Morning America co-host, author and producer Lara Spencer has signed a producing partnership with ITV America’s Leftfield Entertainment. Under the deal, Spencer will create and and produce projects, via her company Duffkat Media, under the LFE banner. Spencer also brings to the partnership a project recently commissioned by ABC.
In addition to co-hosting ABC’s GMA, Spencer created the hit series Flea Market Flip, which is heading into its eighth season on HGTV and was recently picked up for a ninth. She also is the creator of NBC’s primetime game show It’s Worth What? and HGTV’s series of one-hour specials, I Brake for Yard Sales, inspired by her 2012 book of the same name. That book and the 2014 follow-up Flea Market Fabulous: Designing Gorgeous Rooms with Vintage Treasures, both landed on The New York Times best seller list.
“I’m so fortunate in my career to be able to share with viewers my travels and experiences with some amazing and talented people, and to bring that inspiration to television, books and the digital world,” said Spencer. “I’m thrilled now to be working with Leftfield Entertainment as we collaborate to find new ways to share passions for home, family and the things that make life fulfilling – hopefully, surprising and inspiring people along the way.”
“There’s not much that Lara Spencer can’t do – we see it every day as she connects with millions of viewers on GMA, and in her best-selling books and successful TV ventures,” added Leftfield Entertainment CEO David George, who made the announcement. “Leftfield is truly excited to work with Lara as she continues to build her brand across multiple platforms and drive the creative that resonates with so many viewers.”
Spencer is repped by WME.
