EXCLUSIVE: Gillian Bohrer has been hired to be executive vice president of production at Fox 2000. The appointment was made by Elizabeth Gabler, who herself has just re-upped as president of the Fox division she has run since 1999. Bohrer recently left Lionsgate, where she saw through the transition of her projects after stepping down as co-president of production in January.
Bohrer started at Summit Entertainment right out of grad school and spent more than a decade between there and Lionsgate, shepherding projects that included The Twilight Saga, the Divergent franchise, The Perks Of Being A Wall Flower and the upcoming Damien Chazelle film La La Land. “We are very excited to have Gillian join Fox 2000,” said Gabler. “Her passion for great material and respect for filmmakers, along with her proven track record, will be a valuable addition to our team.”
This comes as Gabler’s division has the Greg Mottola-directed Keeping Up With The Joneses, set for release October 21, with the Ted Melfi-directed Hidden Figures in production right now and director Hany Abu-Assad’s The Mountain Between Us and the Catherine Hardwicke-directed Love Letters To The Dead in preproduction.
