

Fox is going by the traditional broadcast scheduling playbook, slotting all of its fall premieres within the formal broadcast premiere week of September 19. In the past, the network sometimes had launched some nights earlier to get more originals before baseball pre-emptions but with its postseason baseball coverage scaled back in the past couple of years, the network is sticking to tradition this year. New series debuting during premiere week are Lethal Weapon on Wednesday, leading to Empire; Pitch on Thursday behind Rosewood, The Exorcist on Friday after Hell’s Kitchen; and CGI-live-action comedy Son of Zorn on Sunday.
Between the Friday block of Hell’s Kitchen and The Exorcist and Monday’s Lucifer, the devil has a pretty substantial footprint on the Fox fall schedule this year. Here it is with premiere dates:
