Buddy Valastro and his famiglia have received some new orders. The Hoboken-based clan is returning for an additional 10 episodes of Cake Boss season 8, and has also been renewed for a 9th season of 20 episodes by Discovery Networks International and TLC. The docu-reality series airs on TLC in the U.S. and on DNI’s factual entertainment channels across more than 220 countries. It’s made by High Noon Entertainment and Cakehouse Media.
As they continue to expand the successful family business, Carlo’s Bakery, Valastro and his four sisters, two brothers-in-law and cousins, will take on new projects, while also continuing to satisfy and serve their longtime customers. Buddy’s wife, kids and Momma also form an integral part of the series.

With the core values of family and food, Cake Boss has become a global franchise. Keeping the food theme, but stepping outside the family, Valastro is also branching out with Kitchen Wars which will seek the most talented amateur cook in Brazil.
A 13-part one-hour series, it premieres June 28 on TV Record and July 1 on Discovery Home & Health Brazil. The show begins with 26 teams of two as they prepare their best homemade dishes in an effort to move on to subsequent rounds of the competition. It’s a co-production of TV Record and Discovery Home & Health, produced by Endemol Shine Brasil and Cakehouse Media.
