Warner Bros Consumer Products is becoming more Disney-fied: The company announced today that Soo Koo has left Disney to become Chief Creative Officer at Warner’s merchandise arm. She’ll report to WBCP’s President Pam Lifford, another Disney vet who joined in January.
Koo had been North American Vice President of Creative for Fashion and Home at Disney Consumer Products and Disney Stores.
In her new job, she will oversee “global strategy for all product design and development,” the company says. WBCP’s properties include DC Comics, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, and J.K Rowling’s Wizarding World.
“Soo’s expertise in growing new and existing brands through strategic partnerships and innovative product designs will play a pivotal role in bringing fashionable, trend-right products to market,” Lifford says. They intend to develop “innovative, high-quality and beautifully designed products for consumers of all ages.”
Koo has helped to forge partnerships with Forever 21, Vans, Stella McCartney, Sephora, and Marc Jacobs. She also worked worked for BCBG, BeBe, Bianca Nero, and Thomas Wylde.
