The 600-seat theater, which will be the centerpiece of the academy’s reimagined NoHo Arts district campus, will be equipped with the company’s latest technology — the Dolby Atmos audio system and Dolby Vision laser-projection system. The deal also ensures that the venue will be updated regularly with Dolby’s latest technology for the next decade.
“Dolby is bringing the Academy the most advanced audio and imaging resources available,” said Television Academy Chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum. “Their extraordinary innovations are empowering new generations of story tellers, and are shaping and enhancing the way we experience great content.”
Dolby will also be recognized as one of the TV Academy Foundation Theatre’s founding sponsors.
