Paul James, who recurred on the first season of Hulu drama series The Path, has been promoted to series regular for Season 2. Paul plays Sean Egan, a young member of the Meyerist Movement whose tragic past has led him to the New York compound where he finds love in fellow novice Mary Cox (Emma Greenwell). Created by Jessica Goldberg, The Path follows a family at the center of a controversial cult as they struggle with relationships, faith and power. The series, which launched to strong reviews from critics, hails from Hulu sibling Universal Television and Jason Katims’ True Jack Prods. James currently recurs on TNT’s The Last Ship and played Calvin Owens on Greek. He is repped by Authentic Talent Management, SDB Partners and attorney Hayes Robbins at Stone, Genow, Smelkinson, Binder & Christopher, LLP.
Shaun Sipos has booked a regular role on Season 2 of Syfy’s space opera Dark Matter. The series, created by Stargate writers/EPs Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, follows six people who wake up on a derelict spaceship with no memories of who they are or how they got onboard. Sipos will play Devon, a once world class surgeon, who is haunted by a dark past that may pose a danger to himself and his fellow crew members. Sipos just wrapped production on miniseries Insomnia for producer Michale Ohoven. His other TV credits include series regular roles in Melrose Place, Life Unexpected, Mel Gibson’s Complete Savages and Maybe It’s Me, and a heavily recurring role in The Vampire Diaries. Sipos is managed by McKeon Myones and Londonderry Entertainment.
