Talking Dead and Talking Saul host Chris Hardwick will add Talking Preacher to his resume. As it did with The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul, AMC said today it will air a live after-show following the premiere and season finale of its anticipated new series Preacher with Hardwick as host.
Talking Preacher will debut Sunday, May 29 at 10:30 PM following an encore airing of Preacher’s pilot episode at 9 PM with series star Dominic Cooper and series executive producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin as guests. The second installment will air following the season finale on Sunday, July 31 at 10 PM.
Preacher, from Sony Pictures TV and AMC Studios, debuts Sunday, May 22 at 10 PM with a 90-minute premiere episode, following the midseason finale of Fear The Walking Dead.New episodes resume Sunday, June 5 at its regular 9 PM time.
Based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s‘90’s comic book franchise, Preacher is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between. The series was developed for television by executive producers Rogen & Goldberg and executive producer and showrunner Sam Catlin.
