EXCLUSIVE: CBS Films has hired Tamara Chestna to rewrite Revenge Wedding, a romantic comedy penned by David White. The project is being produced by Jordan Schur, Andrew O’Connor and Ray Marshall via their Suretone Pictures and What If It Barks Films shingles.
The plot: After Robin discovers her fiancé has been cheating, she and her best friend exact revenge by turning the couple’s perfectly planned, high-society wedding into the biggest disaster in his storied family’s history.
SVP Production Mark Ross is overseeing the project for CBS Films.
This keeps Chestna in business with CBS Films, which acquired Bethany Ashton Wolf’s script Other People’s Love Letters in summer 2013 that Chestna then rewrote. That pic, in the pipeline, follows the intertwining storylines of four romances, each at a crossroads. She is also exec producing that one.
Chestna is repped by ICM Partners and Industry Entertainment’s Ava Jamshidi.
