Unger plays the rape victim’s mother, a strong, fierce advocate for her daughter and granddaughter who has taken on the responsibility of caring for them at great risk, as the meth heads are let out of jail on bail. As they try to put the meth heads behind bars, the parents of the rapists hire the nationally renowned criminal defense attorney Jay Kirkpatrick (Johnson), who shifts the focus of evidence away from the defendants and puts the victim on trial.
The project, scripted by John Mankiewicz (House M.D., House of Cards) is being directed by Johnny Martin and is being shot right now in Atlanta.
Cage’s Saturn Films and Michael Mendelsohn’s Patriot Pictures are the production companies behind the film while executive producers are Harold Becker and Mike Nilon. Hannibal Classics is the film’s sales agent, executive producer Richard Rionda Del Castro (USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage).
Johnson is repped by CAA and Unger is repped by Innovative Artists and Elevate Entertainment.
