
The Good Wife alumna Jess Weixler has been cast in AMC’s upcoming drama series The Son, from Sonar Entertainment and AMC Studios. Based on the book by Philipp Meyer and written by Meyer, Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy, The Son is a multi-generational epic tale of the story of America’s birth as a superpower through the bloody rise and fall of one Texas family. Weixler, repped by Gersh and Mosaic, will play Sally, Pete’s (Henry Garrett) tough, no-nonsense wife. A caring mother who is fiercely protective of her kids, she is searching for fulfillment while trying to keep her marriage together.
Banshee star Ulrich Thomsen has booked a recurring role on the fourth season of NBC’s hit drama The Blacklist. Thomsen will play Alexander Kirk, a charismatic businessman whose strong personal ethics and intelligence have made him a major player on the world stage. Kirk will use his power and resources to strike back against his longtime nemesis, Reddington. Thomsen, the lead villain in Cinemax’s Banshee, also stars in Thomas Vinterberg’s, The Commune and the Danish film Sommeren ’92. He’s repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency, Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management and Troika Talent Agency in the UK.
