Levy created the Canadian comedy Schitt’s Creek with his father, Eugene Levy. The two co-star opposite Catherine O’Hara on the show, which airs on the U.S. cable network Pop as well as Canada’s CBC, Amazon Prime, and Netflix Canada. Currently in its second season, Schitt’s Creek already has been renewed for a third season, slated to begin production this month. It is the first TV series to come out of Daniel and Eugene Levy’s production company, Not a Real Company Prods.
Schitt’s Creek won nine awards at the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards including Best Comedy Series, and a writing trophy for Daniel Levy.
