Josh Gordon and Will Speck are throwing their all-star Office Christmas Party on December 9. Paramount Pictures just announced the wide release date for the DreamWorks comedy that stars Jennifer Aniston, Olivia Munn, Jason Bateman, T.J. Miller, Kate McKinnon — the list goes on.
We originally heard that December 9 was the target date. Office Christmas Party will go up against STX’s horror pic The Bye Bye Man that weekend — before Disney/Lucasfilm’s mega-tentpole Rogue One: A Star Wars Story follows on December 16.
The pic follows a corporate branch manager who throws a Christmas party in order to land a big client as his uptight CEO sister is threatening to shut the division down. However, the party gets out of hand.
Office Christmas Party was written by Lee Eisenberg & Gene Stupnitsky and Laura Solon, based on an original idea by Guymon Casady. Speck and Gordon are executive producing. Scott Stuber, along with Casady and Daniel Rappaport of Entertainment 360 are producing.
