EXCLUSIVE: 20th Century Fox has made a six-figure deal to acquire Man Alive, an elevated sci-fi spec script by new writer Joe Greenberg. Fargo creator Noah Hawley is set to make his feature film directorial debut on the project, which Leigh Kittay and John Cameron from Hawley’s 26 Keys shingle will produce with Chris Bender, Jake Weiner and Jake Wagner.
The script from Greenberg, a first-time scribe from New Jersey, came in to Scott Stoops at Benderspink via Aengus McLoone, who developed the script with the writer and is attached in a producing capacity. Greenberg is repped by Benderspink, Verve and attorney Allison Binder.

Season 2 of Fargo wrapped in December and the network has ordered a third season. Hawley has several projects in development via his overall deal with FX including the X-Men-themed pilot Legion. He also is writing/exec producing Cat’s Cradle, a limited series based on the acclaimed Kurt Vonnegut novel, from IM Global and FX Prods.
