‘Let It Snow’ Being Moved Out Of 2016

Universal Pictures has moved its romancer Let It Snow out of December 9, 2016 and onto the Thanksgiving holiday of 2017 as it continues to juggle its release schedule. This comes after yesterday’s move of the Illumination Entertainment film Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas back a week. Let It Snow is now on the same date as Justice League, so it’s a bit of counter-programming as well.

Let It Snow is about three unexpected romances that take place over the course of one Christmas Eve and is based on the beloved short story collection written by YA author John Green (The Fault In Our Stars), Maureen Johnson (13 Little Blue Envelopes) and Lauren Myracle (Internet Girls series).

Scott Neustadter & Michael Weber (500 Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now) wrote the latest draft of the screenplay, which was originally adapted by Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect series). Luke Snellin directs, and Bluegrass Films’ Scott Stuber (Ted series, Identity Thief) and Dylan Clark (Planet Of The Apes series, Oblivion) will produce.
