Former HanWay Films and WestEnd Films exec Fabien Westerhoff has launched international licensing and finance company Film Constellation, which will debut at next month’s Cannes Film Festival. The London-based company is kicking off with a credit facility of up to 10M euros ($11.25M) from France’s FilmsDistribution.
Westerhoff will reveal Film Constellation’s first titles on the Riviera, from youth-oriented commercial fare to talent-driven pics targeted at mature audiences.
Westerhoff says the company’s strategic partnerships will offer a fast-track bridge to the European market’s funding resources and festival scene for Anglo-Saxon indie filmmakers, and act as a port of call for European filmmakers wanting to expand ino the English-speaking market.
