With an industry-leading 60 nominations heading into this weekend’s Daytime Emmy Awards, CBS today made some noise for its entire daytime lineup, announcing the full slate has been renewed for the 2016-17 season. Coming back next season: game shows Let’s Make a Deal and The Price Is Right, soaps The Young and the Restless and The Bold And The Beautiful and gabfest The Talk.
CBS, the top-rated daytime lineup for 29 years, had previously announced a two-year pickup for The Bold and the Beautiful, while The Price Is Right (TV’s most-watched daytime program) and The Young And The Restless (daytime’s top drama for 27 years) previously snared multi-year pickups. The Talk is network TV’s top daytime talk show.

The network reports a daytime viewer increase of 2% over a year ago.
“Each year, CBS Daytime produces more than 1,000 episodes of programming – the most for any broadcast network – which is only possible due to the incredible passion of the industry’s best creative talent, both in front of and behind the camera,” Angelica McDaniel, EVP Daytime Programs and Syndicated Program Development at CBS Entertainment/CBS Television Distribution, said in today’s announcement.
Neither Sunday’s Daytime Emmy Awards nor Friday’s Creative Arts Daytime Emmys will be televised or live-streamed this year.
