Callum Keith Rennie (Into the Forest) has booked a series regular role on the second season of Amazon’s original drama series The Man in the High Castle. Based on Philip K. Dick’s alt-history novel, the series depicts a divided and drab 1962 America in which the Nazis rule the East and Midwest and Imperial Japan reigns over the Western states, with a neutral zone between them. Rennie will play Gary Connell, leader of the West Coast Resistance movement. A former convict, he is now in charge of the sometimes violent counter assaults against the Pacific States and the Reich of the West Coast. Rennie just wrapped Goon 2 opposite Liev Schrieber, and also appears in Into The Forest, Born To Be Blue and Legendary’s upcoming World of Warcraft. He also was a series regular in Californication. Rennie is repped by APA, manager Elizabeth Hodgson and attorney Bob Lange.
Rafael de la Fuente (Empire) has joined the cast of When We Rise, ABC’s eight-hour miniseries about the gay rights movement, written/executive produced by Dustin Lance Black and Bruce Cohen. The mini chronicles the personal and political struggles, setbacks and triumphs of a diverse family of men and women who helped pioneer one of the last legs of the U.S. Civil Rights struggle. De la Fuente will play Ricardo, who ends up in a long-term relationship with the character Cleve. De la Fuente most recently played Michael Sanchez on Fox’s hit series Empire. He’s repped by Latin World Entertainment and Abrams Artists Agency.
