Most of you will have to wait until the show’s May 22 premiere following the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead to see for yourself, but trust me, AMC’s upcoming Preacher is fantastic, easily zipping back and forth between gory horror, slapstick comedy, extreme violence, and outright religious awe. You can at least get a glimpse of that courtesy of a new teaser released by AMC this afternoon. Watch it here now.
Yeah it’s short, but it also gives a good, non-screenshot look fan favorite character “Arse Face”, so nicknamed because of the disastrous reconstructive surgery performed on him after a botched suicide attempt via shotgun to the face. In keeping with the 1996-2000 cult DC/Vertigo comic series by Garth Ennis on which Preacher is based, Arse Face is the show’s single most adorably positive character. And that’s not even the most wackadoodle thing about it.
