Just in time for the weirdest primary season on record comes a full-length trailer for the fifth season of HBO’s Veep. Warning: It’s pretty NSFW thanks to the series’ standard profanity-laced dialogue — although probably not any more than the average Trump rally, to be honest (just kidding). Watch it above.
Season 5 follows up on a stellar year for the series that saw it clean up at the Primetime Emmys and is the first without series creator Armando Iannucci running things. He departed after the last season to work on new projects, replaced in his showrunner duties by David Mandel. Starring Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the (sort of) title role, the show also features Anna Chlumsky, Emmy winner Tony Hale, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Matt Walsh, Sufe Bradshaw, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Sam Richardson and Hugh Laurie. Veep‘s fifth season premieres April 24, the same night Game of Thrones returns for its sixth and Silicon Valley for its third. In other news, I won’t be leaving my house that night.
